Outline

As this trip was somewhat atypical, let me give you a quick run-down as to how it went.

• I started not far from my home in Austria, riding along the Danube, then veering north, eventually reaching Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic
• In Cesky Krumlov, my parents drove from Vienna by car and we spent a weekend together
• After the weekend, I continued biking north, eventually reaching an area close to the Polish border
• As a friend of mine, Erica, invited me to a wine festival in the Tokaj region to hold a presentation of my favorite biking trips, so I returned by train back home to Vienna and prepared for the presentation
• Then I took a train from Vienna to Eastern Hungary, to a small village called Erdöbénye
• On the day following the presentation (which actually went quite well), I started cycling toward the north, crossing Slovakia and Poland, eventually reaching Lithuania
• From Lithuania, I travelled home by a combination of train and bus back to Vienna.
